I’d certainly never visited NYC over the holidays, and I decided that 2016 was my year. I was in Chicago for work, so I thought I’d pop over to see what all the fuss was about. I was anticipating a city that looked like Christmas had thrown up on all its inhabitants, landmarks and bustling city streets. In reality, it was freezing cold, crowded as hell and WHOA is it hard to get a taxi in a city where over 8 million people reside…but damn it was worth everything.

9/11 Memorial. It started raining the minute we walked up to view this incredible sight. I got goosebumps immediately and couldn’t bare to leave just because of a little rain. If you make a visit, I highly suggest also going into the museum nearby.

Don’t forget to look up!

Out and about, trying not to think about how cold it is 😉
