Working from home, however, is without a doubt the most efficient place to create, write, do admin tasks and get back to those countless emails I’ve undoubtedly put off. WFH is something I’ve done for 7 years now. When I’m not traveling, I’m logging hours and hours at my desk sorting through the content we shot while away because let’s be honest. Those photos aren’t going to edit themselves 😉
As of late last year, I was finally able to design my first home office. Now, after 3,583,302 days in quarantine, memories from working on a hotel room floor are faint as my home office begins to feel like the new normal.
Never have I ever owned a proper desk all to myself before. I wanted something with ample space, drawers and light coloring. This writing desk checked all the boxes and didn’t break the bank.
To properly house books, one needs bookends. These little ladies were the perfect addition to my all of my yoga reads!
Just like all of us, my books need a home. I was on the hunt for a beautiful wooden bookshelf that would stand the test of time. It also had to fit between my office windows. This one stood out above the rest, my favorite detail being the curved edges. Check out some of my favorite books here.
It’s not exactly in my nature to be extremely organized, but I’m taking notes from my insanely good assistant and trying. These letter trays were a great first step in organizing specific documents and hard drives.
Gotta love a good accountability notepad. I’m always jotting down notes on a check list, and the best feeling is being able to physically scratch off a to-do item. My assistant had these Erin Condren pads personalized for me – and I’m OBSESSED. It’s a small business, too, so go check it out!
I need a bound notebook that can live on my desk for anything from yoga sequences to blog post ideas. When I travel, I slip it in my carry-on and jot down new notes or reference old ones. My fave thing is that the entire pad is customizable!
While this espresso machine isn’t housed in my actual office, it’s a large part of my work day. Yes, it’s an investment but I haven’t paid for a drive-through coffee in months. It’s so good…we travel with it 🙂
Plants and Planters
Ever since I revealed my world wallpaper, I’ve been getting lots of Qs on my plants. Hate to burst your bubble, but they’re fake! Find most of them (and then some) below!
