Oregon was highly requested for our second domestic LimtiLes trip, and there’s no question why. It’s one of those destinations that has it all – wine country, hiking, biking, skiing, water sports, really good craft beer, even better coffee, eclectic bookstores, and sooooo much more. There truly is something magical in the people, atmosphere, and forest in this PNW state. From soaking up the summer scene in Bend, meandering through wine country, and unwinding at the moody coast, there are limitles ways to fill your heart up. I could spend many days (maybe even a lifetime) adventuring through Oregon, but for now, we’ll touch on the standout moments from our six summer days exploring together.
We had so many incredible partners that made this trip smooth, delicious, and fun. Special shoutout to Visit Central Oregon for your guidance and support. Y’all helped us hone in on the best parts of Oregon, put us in touch with the finest people, and hosted us at the oh-so-lovely villas of Tetherow. We can’t wait to return and continue singing your praises!
Crater Lake National Park
Time flew from the moment we met James and Katie (maybe our favorite tour guides to date) from Wanderlust Tours for our full-day adventure at Crater Lake National Park. Sure, you can visit Crater Lake National Park by yourself, but James and Katie shared so much knowledge, history, and FUN that doesn’t come with the park admission fees. We came, we saw, we learned, we hiked and we conquered jumping off a 30 ft. cliff into the deepest lake in the country (that’s still an active volcano)! We knew there would be an option to jump into the FREEZING cold, deep blue pool we were admiring from every angle…but couldn’t predict how the group would approach the challenge. The hype and support from these women encouraged all of us to push past our fears, and it was certainly a standout moment for all of us!
Willamette Valley Vineyards
After a morning hike, we rolled up to Willamette Valley Vineyards thirsty and ready for the best afternoon of wine tasting. This stop was no accident as it broke up the drive from Central Oregon to the coast quite perfectly. This region is known for its pinot noir, and our favorite part of the experience was the tasting and blending of our very concoctions. To begin, we tasted seven pinot noirs and then tried our hand at our own blend by picking the percentage of each of our favorites and hitting “BLEND” on a magic barrel machine. My fiancé of course blended a $100 bottle, hats off to him, while I blended a $35 bottle. We now know who has the expensive taste! After many sips and giggles, we shipped a few bottles home and headed onward to the coast.
Cannon Beach Picnic
After some coastal hiking, we enjoyed the picnic of my dreams by The Oregon Picnic Co. These picnic fairies traveled all the way from Eugene, Oregon to Cannon Beach and set up lunch, charcuterie, fresh flowers, and every perfect detail before we arrived. We picked the theme, ordered the lunch, and knew what we were walking into but could not have been more blown away by the reality and ease of this beach picnic! The photos speak for themselves. If only you could taste the sweet cheeses, salty crackers, sparkling lemonade, juicy fruits and perfectly toasted bread through a screen. Mmmmm!
Thank you again to the women of LimitLes Oregon who made us laugh so hard and dive so deep. We couldn’t do what we do without y’all being so open, loving, and willing to lean into this community and travel experience!

LOVE seeing these photos! You were in my born, raised, still living in state! I recognize all of the locations. Was it the Big Eddy adventure with Sun Country? That’s such a fun short trip. Bend is so much fun with the brilliant blue sky and clean air. Jumping in to Crater Lake, never done that, way too cold for this girl. So happy you enjoyed Oregon, it’s a beautiful state with so much different terrain and more to see and do than a week allows time for.
