Sounds like it was taken straight from the pages of a travel fairytale, right? This is how LA-based celebs do it because not joining the heavy traffic on the 405 into the main entrance is everything.
After my Flight of the Emmys from Chicago to LAX with United, I was lucky enough to experience the cargo facility turned Private Suites – but in reverse. After touchdown, I was whisked off the plane and into a private car only feet away on the tarmac.
A 10 minute drive materialized a VIP experience like no other, and it can be all yours for $4,500/year – a membership steal if you’re a celeb or someone seeking privacy and in/out of LAX multiple times a year. The membership gets your 3 BFFS or family members through as well.
Destination: Private Suites at LAX
With 12 private suites and one suite solely dedicated to United passengers who book the service, the LAX branch is the first of its kind in the U.S. Owned by Gavin de Becker, a private investigator/security consultant to the stars, passengers flying with United can simply select a United Private Suite add-on during booking. Ahhh, the ease, but the livin’s even easier once actually inside.
Amenities
With a mini bar that isn’t exactly mini (think ice cold beers, top shelf liquor and margarita salts brought in from Brazil), there’s also exotic chocolate bars and fizzy coconut drinks for days. Oh they fancy, huh? Absolutely. My personal favorite was the candy dispenser wall and to-go party favors for the upcoming flight. The verdict? Skittles, because I frequently find myself 40,000 feet off the ground trying my hardest to taste the rainbow. Travel accessories were also on offer with items like portable chargers and neck pillows, and don’t even get me started on the amount of toiletries in the bathroom.
With suites that cater to children and pets, this place really does it all. Between the fire pit, lawn games and viewing platform to the runway, I was tempted to ask if they were accepting overnight reservations. This is my official request for a LAX Private Suites Hotel, please and thank you.
A reservation is needed at least 24 hours in advance, and every booking is well attended to with at least 8 team members at your service. LAX Private Suites is also the only private Customs & Immigrations service in the U.S. – pretty much one-upping Global Entry in a big way 🙂 Whether it’s the ease of check-in, time efficiency or private access, one thing’s for sure – I want to be part of this travel fairytale. No crowded concourses, no security lines, no problems. Maybe this is what Miley Cyrus was talking about when she hopped off the plane at LAX with a dream and her cardigan…

Wow! I normally hate flying thru LAX, but these private suites just might have me changing my mind (if I had an extra $5K to spend per year)! Always enjoy your posts, & hoping to make it on one of your LimitLes trips someday : ) xoxo
