Nursery Reveal
I wanted Lily’s space to be warm and inviting with boho pieces mixed in. Apart from that, I couldn’t really get a clear vision, so I brought in some help. Tobi Fairley is an award-winning designer and has put her magic touches on my parents’ houses from Fort Smith to Little Rock over the last 20 years. When we first met about designing this nursery, I could tell her what I didn’t want…but not so much what I did want. She certainly had her work cut out for her!
The Story of Our Custom Pink Nursery Wallpaper
“Let’s start with colors,” she said. Okay, I could do that. I couldn’t commit to a single Benjamin Moore square, but I was very drawn to pink (surprise, surprise) and sage green. I attribute this to my oldest daughter’s lovey which I see on the daily so we’ll call that the inspiration behind the colorway.

Armed with that information, Tobi started to send me some sample photos of other nurseries. While they were great, they weren’t me. No amount of scrolling through Pinterest or Pottery Barn would inspire me either (I tried). Almost everything I do has to have intention behind it. I wanted it to exude meaning. I wanted to feel it. Tobi threw out the idea of creating custom wallpaper, and I immediately said yes! Her graphic artist is beyond talented so after many brainstorming sessions, photo swaps, and renditions later, we landed on (of course) a travel-themed paper donning my very own photos from all over the world.
LimitLes Toile Wallpaper
You can now shop this intentional artwork that means so much to us and hopefully fierce female travelers alike. More colorways coming soon!
It’s so special to have brought to life places that have a big piece of my heart in this intentionally crafted art. South America is where The Road Les Travel began and where we return to again and again to fall in love with living. Australia is, of course, where half of our heart lives with Alex’s family. Aruba is where my heart lead me 5+ years ago to complete my Yoga Teacher Training, meet myself on a deeper level, and the push to launch LimitLes Travel. This space is where my little girl will dream, surrounded by illustrations of the places where my dreams came to life. I hope this inspires her tiny feet to wander far, travel light, and grow into a fierce little female.
Nursery Furniture
As for the furnishings, I entrusted Nurture& for the functional yet beautiful pieces like the 7-drawer dresser, gliding swivel chair and my favorite of all, the commanding daybed that converts into kid’s bed (doubling as Lily’s big girl bed one day!). They’re all non-toxic and sustainably made, and I highly recommend the brand if you’re designing a nursery at home. The award-winning gliders speak for themselves! Don’t forget $50 off with a purchase of $800 or more!

Everything else came with time as we took a few months to complete the room. I thought long and hard on the crib because I thought we’d transition Nora to a big girl bed and essentially reuse hers by the time Lily was here. The more I thought about it, the more I wanted to keep Nora’s world the exact same. She’s truly the best sleeper on the planet (hope I didn’t just jinx myself), so I knew we needed a second crib.
3-in-1 Candy Cloud crib
I’ve been eyeing this stunning 3-in-1 Candy Cloud crib for a couple of years. While pricey, I knew we’d get good use out of it, and I LOVED the idea of it being on wheels and doubling as a bassinet for the first few months.
Serena and Lily mirror
I snagged this gorgeous Serena & Lily (fitting) mirror on Black Friday and it’s still on sale. Run, don’t walk! This is one of my favorite pieces that I think really ties the room together.
Design Dua changing basket
This baby changing basket is handwoven with elephant grass in Ghana. Gifted by our LimitLes family for Nora B, not only has this peice withstood the test of time with our first, it also fits in perfectly with the aesthetic of Lily’s pink, sage, and natural nursery. Design Dua is also available at Etsy & Nordstrom.
Lighting fixture
I don’t know about you, but I’m very particular about my soft overhead lighting (hence the two lamps in this room). This small but tiny detail creates a soft glow of ambiance.
Barefoot Dreams baby blanket
It’s no secret how soft and luxurious barefoot dreams products are. The baby blanket is a familiar soft touch for early mornings and late nights.
All in all, I have zero regrets and truly adore every hand-picked piece in this room. I think we have a solid mix of pieces that will be cherished for a lifetime + filled in the blanks with affordable Target finds like the floor lamp and rattan side table. Of course, our favorite baby registry items are filling up the baskets, drawers, and closet. We’ve always been a colorful family, and I’m so excited to make memories with our newest addition in this little pink oasis.
Designing Lily’s nursery was not just about creating a beautiful space; it was about infusing every corner with stories and dreams. The custom wallpaper, adorned with images from around the world, is a testament to the places close to our hearts. As Lily rests surrounded by these intentional illustrations, I hope they inspire her to dream big and travel far. And now, you can bring a piece of this intentional artwork into your own space with the custom wallpaper. Every piece in this nursery was carefully chosen over many months and many moons. Each item holds a meaning that goes beyond the aesthetics—a story waiting to be told. Happy decorating!
