First, can we celebrate the fact that when you find your person, your favorite humans line up to shower you with gifts?! I’m in the thick of final details (hi, we’re getting married in two weeks) and still asking so many questions and making so many choices. Where to do a wedding registry
Wedding websites are an important piece to the puzzle, and I’m happy to report that they make wedding registry creation user-friendly for the bride/groom/and guests! Zola and The Knot are leaders in the wedding website space for good reason. The best places to register for wedding gifts are Crate&Barrel, William Sonoma, and of course the classic modern one-stop shop Amazon. We registered with some local Little Rock shops because there is something extra special about supporting local businesses and getting really unique beautiful pieces along the way.
How a wedding registry works
There are so many different ways to go about a wedding registry and so many decisions to make. No matter how you do it, it’s a labor of love. “Will Aunt Sue approve of my cash-only request?” “We’ve lived together for years, let’s just ask for some pieces to refresh the house and honeymoon funds!” “Our house is overflowing with love and abundance, let’s ask for our friends and family to donate to our favorite charity instead.” Honesty is the best policy in my book, and these days with wedding websites, you can say it all and get creative in the process.
Do you know the best perk of creating a wedding registry? The wedding registry completion discount that you can earn for those items not purchased. For Amazon prime members, the registrants who receive $500 or more in gifts receive a 20% discount on one purchase up to $1,500. Crate&Barrel offers a 15% discount for any remaining items up to 6 months after the big day. William Sonoma offers a 10% wedding registry completion discount.
