I have a mild soaking obsession if you haven’t noticed from my Instagram account. Would you book a hotel just because of its luxurious guest bathrooms? *Lesley raises her hand.*
Not all baths are created equal. Some present breathtaking views while others rely on their luxurious bath and body works to sell the experience, and I’m not talking about the American retail store in your neighborhood mall. I’m referring to the Jo Malone Orange Blossom bath oil, Ahava Dead Sea Calming Lavender bath salt, my favorite L’Occitane Verbena shower gel, or the back-to-basics bubble bath. I wouldn’t accept your rose, but I’d snatch up your Red Roses bath oil in a heartbeat.
I’ve made it my mission to seek out the best tubs around the world, one soak at a time. The coolest bathtubs give guests a sense of their own private in-room spa. This happened when they left the ole shower-tub combo back home. Nothing screams “I got away from it all” quite like slipping into a bubble bath – in a basin polished to a sparkle with a glass of wine, view and maybe even some company. Without further ado, let’s get on with the tub talk. Time to make a splash!

I never really thought about a bath quest, but you may be winning me over! I can’t afford to stay in suites, but some bath favorites – St. Regis Princeville, Park Hyatt Paris and Four Seasons Shanghai!

I’d die to be able to bathe in that glass bottom tub…and then continue to stay in it for hours.

So pretty!! Just wondering, who takes the photos for you?

I love this post! Living in California now, I have to travel elsewhere to take my guilt free baths… My favorite so far is the the gold painted bathtub in the Tinei Room at The Brody House in Budapest. Not only is the bathtub gorgeous, but its the coolest boutique hotel I’ve ever seen!
