It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Christmas is here! I’m heading home to Arkansas and couldn’t be more excited. I wanted to show y’all what I’m packing from LA to the Natural State since it’s not always easy changing seasons along with packing veryyy fragile gifts for your relatives.
Winter Gear
Ever since I got my featherless Marmot jacket a couple months ago, I’ve taken it all over the world from Denver to Portugal! It packs so easily since it’s lightweight but heavy enough for extreme conditions. I can go from the slopes to a restaurant in it (hellooo, après ski!) and call it a night! You can never go wrong with a pop of red in your wardrobe, either 🙂
It’s a better way to warm up and made of 75% recycled material. Warm + eco friendly = win/win. See my favorite ways to style my Marmot jacket here.
Boots
It’s no secret these babies take up some major pounds. I usually try to limit the boots but come on… all three of these serve very different purposes! Hiking for mountains, every day for last minute Christmas shopping and wedge booties for days that turn into nights 🙂
Jewels
What’s a Christmas party without some bling? This will be coming with me inside my carry-on. Pro Tip: never ever pack your jewelry bag in your checked luggage. There’s always a chance that the airline could lose your bag, or worse – it gets stolen out of your luggage. How you pack it is important, too. There’s nothing worse than arriving to a new destination with a tangled mess of jewels!
Travel Gear
Away Suitcases – Yes, I love these bags. Yes, I’m aware they are dirty and scratched and not your typical bloggery crystal clear luggage photo. No, I wouldn’t change it for the world because I believe in the well-traveled look! Pictured here is the Large and the Bigger Carry-On. Highly recommend!
Sony A7Riii Camera
I never go anywhere without my camera. It’s basically been on my person for the past 4 1/2 years when I bought my first DSLR the day before moving to Argentina. You never know when a good photo opp is going to present itself!
Gifts
See that entire wall of Mexican pottery in the photo below? The shop definitely needs a restock after I left. Mom would love a pot for chili…little sis needs some coffee mugs…older sis wants a set of decorative bowls. And the list goes on. It was quite the work out getting those bad boys wrapped and in a carry-on bag. PHEW. Next up we’ve got bath bombs because duh, an African styled necklace for my BFF, and mugs for coffee (definitely wine). I think I did pretty good this year! 2019, I’m ready for ya!
