LimitLes trips are intentional escapes for those looking to travel with like-minded people who crave movement, purpose, connection, difference, and change for the greater good. LimitLes Peru isn’t your average vacay. From yoga to exploration to giving back in an exceptional way – we’ll be sure to make an impact: not only on the local community but on you, too.
In my humble opinion, the further south you go, the better the world becomes.
From the high Andes to the Amazon lowlands, expect the unexpected while on LimitLes Peru! I have been lucky to travel to this colorful country on three different occasions, and take it from me. To travel through Peru is to travel through the senses. From sapphire colored waters and rainbow mountains, to symphonies of humming, buzzing and chirping to mouth-watering citrusy ceviche, there’s something for every kind of traveler here. To the trekkers, the climbers, the foodies, the surfers, the thrill seekers, the history buffs, the animal lovers and city slickers: Gear up. Peru is a wild ride!
It’s no secret that Peru is home to one of the new seven Wonders of the World. Machu Picchu is among the greatest artistic, architectural, and land use achievements anywhere, but this country also offers a huge variety of topography, food, and experiences that are always exceeding the expectation of every traveler. If the altitude doesn’t take your breath away, the vistas certainly will.

I don’t visit the region without the excellent guidance of my friends from Peru Eco Expeditions, and lucky for us, these experts will help us venture from Cusco to the Sacred Valley and into the heart of the Amazon Rainforest. This will be my third time working with Sarah and Daniel, two of the most heart-led and adventurous guides I know on a dream expedition packed with the top to-dos combined with Peru’s best-kept gems…all sprinkled with exclusive touches.
The Road Les Traveled is not for the faint of heart. We’ll be rising early, staying active, traveling to different climates in a short amount of time and getting the absolute most out of our time in Peru…and I don’t say that last part lightly. The first portion of our trip will be fast-paced as we set out to experience as much as possible from Cusco to the ancient ruins of Machu Picchu. Then we’ll slow it down and unwind in one of the most serene sanctuaries in the world: the Amazon Rainforest. Our adventure-packed itinerary is balanced beautifully with luxury accommodations to rest your head including a private charter on the Amazon, world-class cuisine to spark your taste buds, quiet moments in awe-inspiring nature, and connection activities that will invite you to dive deeply into yourself and others.

Impact: The Willkamayu River, which means ‘sacred river’ in Quechua, was vital to the Inca Empire. It is said that the Inca believed that the water source came directly from the Milky Way Galaxy which touched the tops of the glaciers, melted into water and gave life and abundance to the people of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Unfortunately in modern times, the river has not been well respected as trash collects on its banks and constantly needs to be cleared. After assessing where we can best be of service, our group will spend the day rafting from Pachar to Ollantaytambo cleaning the banks of this river.
Covid Compliance: All passengers arriving into Peru must be fully vaccinated or show proof of a negative PCR test taken within 48 hours of departure. In all provinces of Peru, adults over the age of 18 must show proof of vaccination to enter enclosed spaces, and individuals 40+ must have received their booster. That being said, all LimitLes Peru participants must be fully vaccinated in order to apply. KN95 masks are required. If you do not have a KN95, double masking is mandatory. All passengers must also complete an affidavit of health within 72 hours upon arrival.
Note: Cusco is located at an elevation of 11,151 feet. High altitudes affect everyone differently. Some may not feel the change at all while others may experience altitude sickness locally known as soroche. Symptoms include headache, fatigue, stomach discomfort, dizziness and sleep disturbance. Staying extremely well hydrated can prevent and alleviate these symptoms. Oxygen and first aid kit will always be on hand.
