We got tubes today! From Nora going under anesthesia to no eating/drinking after midnight (and no milk at wake-up!!) to her reaction to all the doctors and nurses, I had NO idea what to expect as a first-time mom. Maybe she’s born with it. Maybe it’s practice😅We’ve been here a few times after all, but I think she’s just getting older and wiser and more tolerable to all the instruments and pokes and prods. If you don’t know about tubes, they help ear canals drain properly so that fluid doesn’t get stuck and cause infections. She did great, and we hope it provides much needed relief for this bb soon. I wasn’t even going to post this but always trying to normalize normal things over here :) Anyone else’s kids have tubes?! Pretty sure I did as a kid so🤷🏼‍♀️like mother like daughter..

When we were in the throes of the newborn stage, people would keep telling me, “it gets better, I promise!” I’d always want to know WHEN. Like give me an extract date and time for my sanity. I should trust those who came before me because as it turns out, they were right. It truly only gets better and better. This weekend I found myself staring at her, wishing she’d never grow up. I love this age so much. I didn’t know one human could contain so much pure joy and happiness! After two back-to-back travel days, we made it to Vail! I extended my work trip and brought the fam along b/c I love introducing Nora to new states. Even though we haven’t really even stopped to catch our breath, she’s the BEST travel buddy there ever was! Walking into our home away from home @ewhospitality after what turned into a 5 hour drive today was HEAVEN! Look at this view🤩😱😍. Recipe:
-Make the bread crumbs via food processor (pro tip: this is a great way to use up old bread!)
-Mix 2 eggs and 1/3 cup milk
-Set out 3 bowls (add flour in the 1st, egg/milk mixture in the 2nd, bread crumbs in the 3rd)
-Flour the chicken breast
-Dip chicken in egg mixture
-Coat both sides of chicken breast with bread crumbs
-Pour olive oil into pan, heat slowly over medium
-Use @yummly smart thermometer to properly cook chicken
-Enjoy!
